I'm not going to be able to have another holiday from work until Christmas, so am hoping to go on some day trips on the weekend. Has anyone know of anywhere good I can go for day trips in the south West, within a 1 hour radius of Bristol?
I want to be able to park up and have somewhere to walk the dogs but the rest of the time will be spent chilling in the van. Any ideas welcome!
Cheers

Thanks. Any specifics of like parking places with views? Our dogs are mentalists so cannot be trusted to behave. I'd like to be able to walk them but then spend the rest of the time in the van chilling.

Also Wells, Glastonbury, Westonbert Arboretum, and within about 1-2 hours, Seaton and Lyme-Regis

Bath Marina Caravan Park
To reach the city 2 miles away either walk along the river bank or use the handy Park & Ride bus which terminates just across the road from the site.

Chew Valley Lakes, just down the road with café, loos, and plenty of level dog walks round the edge.
As bob k says, the Dorset coast isn't far away, just spent another weekend down near Charmouth, plenty of dog friendly beaches, with the South Coast footpath running alongside (some restrictions in summer months) took us 90 mins from Bristol.
Seatown, (not to be confused with Seaton) pic for Tallulah as well
And West Bay near Bridport, with a nice harbour a bit further on.
Lovely day on Saturday, some even swimming If your dogs are a bit mental (like mine), might be worth taking care on the cliff paths, while we were on the beach the cliff rescue team came along the beach with a dog in their pickup. Appeared it had fallen and damaged it's leg, a vet attended and treated it and all seemed repairable, so good news.

The Anchor in Seatown serves fab food at a reasonable price, mind yourself on the single track road getting to it though!
Seaton is nice for a walk along the beach too, as is Beer next door.
