| Found some flaky rusty edges to the driver's side sill - so spent the day cleaning off back to metal (little hand held grinder worked well) after cleaning off most, apart from the serious pits, then treated with a rust-stop - now priming then underselling with Hamerite and when dry - topcoat to come!! | |

| It was hand-painted but because it was the lower sill the junction between the sill and the curved panel was also the paint junction it came out ok. It also helped that I had "acquired" 1/2L of paint from Danbury after a panel-dent so have plenty to properly dip a real brush rather than a touch-up kit one | |

Very handy, but did they give you some hardener to cause it to set? ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay

Am I missing something? Normally you'd need hardener to mix in with the paint to cause it to set. ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay

| Absinthe has been waxoyled and cleaned to today - I hope the smell has gone by the time we drive down to Danbury at the end of the week for a service. ________________________________________________________________________________ Absinthe makes the heart grow fonder

| 'Twas a great St Patrick's Day over here in Norn Irn. Painted the bus Leprachaun green and filled up with green unleaded. Donned our green Leprachaun onesies , Loaded up a picnic of green chicken sarnies and green tea. The sun was shining (green) and all was peace with the world (and green) Had a great wee drive to the Newry Canal, Ruby enjoyed stretching her legs after her winter hibernation. Happy St Paddys to all. | |

| back from Danbury this week following the first MOT for Feliz - passed with a couple of advisories one of which was corroded exhaust - can't say I was too surprised - 12 plate still with original exhaust only a matter of time. thanks to the guys at Danbury . The new refurb sales and reception area looks good and the wifi in the new waiting area is really useful. :-) | |

| We waited on the M6 for the RAC to arrive. Blow out and completely shredded tyre but soon back on the road again. Phew! ________________________________________________________________________________ Absinthe makes the heart grow fonder

Saw your photo's on fb, that looked nasty. Is this the danger of changing from the original size tyres. We still ride high, and have only just had to change one of the original lorry tyres the van came with after 6 years as a daily drive. ________________________________________________________________________________ Matt.

| I think the issue may partly be my own fault. I should have moved the van a few times over winter rather than it being stood in one place since October. It's one of those things I know I should do but didn't get round too.
I suspect it's going to be a costly mistake! ________________________________________________________________________________ Absinthe makes the heart grow fonder

| It could even have been a simple innocent puncture that caused it. In which case there probably wasn't anything you could have done anyway. As they say "Stuff Happens" ________________________________________________________________________________ Ginger man without a ginger van | |
