PostSubject: LED bulbs for the Danbury rear spotlights   Tue Mar 15, 2016 3:48 pm

One of our members @BethS cleverly found a supplier of LED bulbs that will replace the standard filament ones fitted in the Danbury installed rear spotlights.

Using LED bulbs will cause less of a drain on your leisure battery, will look great, and should last longer - so it's a win, win situation.

Consequently I've negotiated a 10% discount for members of Brazilian VW Bay and now you can order on the supplier's website, put in a code and that will automatically give you the discount.

Here's the website link: Click here to order

... and to get our discount use the code BraziBay2016

Don't forget you choose which tone you want: regular white or warm white.  Enjoy!! Very Happy

A very good investment had a set since 2009. Very low in power consumption no heat generated but ours give a very white light and not a warm light. Tim

That's right - there's 2 tones to choose from - regular white and warm white.

Or for the creative ones who like mood lighting, glass paint might work Smile

Alternatively, not being of an electrical bent, I don't know whether these would work, you don't even have to get from under the duvet to switch them off by the look of it.

We have different spotlights to you guys , ours at a first glance appear to be MR11 or GU4 bulbs so shouldn't be hard to source those in LED.

Discount code worked OK for me too.

Bulbs (warm white) arrived today.
Oops! Should have checked before ordering as these bulbs bear no resemblance to those originally fitted.

So a WARNING to check before you order.

Two !6 SMD LED BULBS (warm white) now donated to the Sleepover Auction.

HH , check if you have a space before or after BraziBay2016 , If you typed it in yourself unlikely I know but has happened to me when i've copied and pasted codes!!

I tried the code on some MR11 LED's and it worked too..

Now ordered.
