After Brighton Breeze, we went to Plumpton racecourse overnight; a much better venue than Br*ghton racecourse, much more room (about six times as much) and with permanent toilets and showers.

Good band - the skatonics - and lots of dancing

Then a lazy breakfast (with the Facebook 'I've got a yellow campervan' crowd) and back via Bluebell Railway (admiring looks for Bumble and a couple of discussions with people who knew she was Brazilian - had hired for weekend in the past).

You may have one in your house, but it's worth having one in your Kombi - they are so cheap now!

I did ours today too! Always better to be safe than sorry.

Filled up with fuel to be ready for Appletreewick, put the engine battery on charge, drove to Amble for a walk round the town, chatted to a couple who were admiring the van back at the car park then home for lunch.

Went to Weymouth for the weekend; had a great time cycling round Portland with son, Alexander, on Saturday and then Tynham*, Kimmeridge Bay, Swanage and Studland Bay.

Back late on Sunday evening, via Southampton (dropping Alexander back at his house).

(* village where the whole community was moved out Dec 1943, in preparation for D-Day planning and Churchill had said they were going to allow them to move back after the war. Still not been allowed back http://www.tyneham.org/ )

took my wife to the garage to collect her car then had a major wobble going round a corner, first time ever. I think because the van was empty the light weight assisted my oversteer to give the van a big wobble. Easily enough corrected with little effort but a scare non the less.

washed Sadie under my wife's watchful eye. We may have one of the oldest vans but she still has to look clean for her last outing of the year to Appletreewick.

you might regret washing your van ...the weather looks wet !!! and roads will be covered in mud..

We Went to the Moray Firth in search of the Northern Lights. Didn't see them but Bylly the camper met some of his German cousins. They are caravan/sleeping pods made from T2 shells. You can stay in them at this sight

Drove home from Henley (via Marlow for lunch) after a FAB Henely Halloween Weekend with Neville (Als)

Drove Scooby to Brand Autos this morning so they could fix the lighting problem from the other day.
It was a poorly soldered live wire that had broken - all fixed now.
Collected Scooby at lunchtime - many thanks Paul.

Drove to Bath on Friday for an overnighter and a gig.

Followed by drove to Birmingham for a two day conference at the NEC.  Yes, it was cold the second night, but I was glad I did it.
