On the Nigg to Cromarty ferry - a tight squeeze with just 2 vehicles!

It can be a bit "interesting" getting on and off that one Wink

If you can go to Dornoch just a little further north very nice beach.

"Interesting" in what way? I ask in the interests of those of us with low ground clearance!

a narrow ramp - we saw a slightly wider van (not VW) struggling to get off - caught the side post to the raising ramp and also dropped a wheel off the ramp exiting - fortunately already clear and dropped only a couple of inches!
Whilst there is a steep angle approach on the Nigg landing we are lowered and cleared it fine - even with a tow-hitch

we now want to do the NC500 - Inverness to Inverness around the edge and top of the most incredible country in this island!
We have done a lot of this in small sections but have not put it all together into a single trip
However we are not going in Midge season having just been eaten alive despite Avon skin so soft etc!!!
Next decision will be clockwise or anti-clockwise - I favour the latter!!
Has anyone done this yet?

Agreed about the landscape docmark. I'm planning a Kombi Kaper to Loch Lomond and the west coast next year.
