Hey Everyone,

Have been looking at options for electric windows for our buses, a company called spalautomotive does a kit that they assure me will work for £119.99, with switch options starting at £29.38, both prices include vat...

I'm so grateful that my Kombi has manual windows, manual clunky light switches, manual hard-working steering, manual, manual, manual! Not 21st century, but no chance of failing Wink

Hey Max...

Not sure about your clunky light switches, or hard working steering wheel, perhaps some WD40 for the light switches and are you sure your steering wheel is not in the locked position...? Laughing

Hey Peppa,

Thanks for helping me out here! I was wondering why the bus was going in circles forever! Laughing

I like the light switches (or pullers), because they remind me of some no-nonsense, indestructible Russian spacecraft designs. Not that I've been inside a Russian spacecraft.

Anyone thinking of fitting electric windows (very posh) should take a look at this link as to how to fit them...!

I am not sure about this. Type 2 Bay Window with a 60's design, having no power steering, 4 forward gears, no air con, 2 speed window wipers, no central locking, wind up windows. Having all this makes it for me and makes me appreciate how much driving a vehicle has progressed. I like the old method so electric windows wont be fitted to Olive. Cool
