PostSubject: Chrome handles   Chrome handles EmptyWed Sep 16, 2020 1:44 pm

Hi all,

As with all of the Brazzies (I think), we have black painted door handles. As we have chrome bumpers and mirrors, I'd prefer if they were also chrome.

Has anyone made the change? I see JK has everything except the rear compartment lock, but what is the quality like? Is it really annoying having loads of keys?

Thoughts welcome!

Many thanks,

Alex.

Hi Alex,
I haven't changed the handles yet but had thought about it. Before lockdown I had a conversation with a guy from Custom & Commercial a VW Parts Specialist over Bookham/Leatherhead way. We were talking generally about parts for the BB and I'm sure I remember him saying that they can supply chrome handles with the same lock and therefore just the one key.

Might be worth a call. If you do please update.

Best.
Sean

They can supply, albeit quite pricey...

Thanks for updating Alex. I can't comment on cost as have not really looked into it but I suppose it saves on a pocket full of keys.

I really don’t like a BraziBay with a bunch of keys for each different door. If you’re going to change to chrome please get Justin at C&C to switch all the barrels to take the original ignition key?! Also please keep all the original door handles? Ta!
