Changing front seats

Hi everyone,

We've had our Danbury for a season now and thoroughly enjoyed her (Lily) around the UK. Now the season is coming to end, I'm looking into things I'd like to tinker with.

To that end, has anyone changed the two single seats in the front for a passenger 2-person bench seat plus a separate drivers seat? I've seen a few of the vans with this combo but can't seem to find anywhere online to sell a bench seat. Found a few old bench boards and foam but no frames or full seats.

Would the bench attach to the old fittings for the single passenger seat or would more fittings be required to the bodywork?

I believe VW JKampers bought a few with bench seats and so may have what you're suggesting. I'd contact @tim

Also there was a Brazibay with a reversable front seat, but I cannot remember who had it?

This is brilliant, but not clear if the seat base remains adjustable towards and away from the pedals

Those flip seats are great, very expensive mind......

The flip mechanism on the backrest suggests it has a fixed pivot, but I cant tell if the base moves.

No bench seats sorry.

@masontech. Danbury fitted it for us. It was the only one they did but you can get the kits from VW Evolution I think.

Thanks for all the info, very impressed with the bench Absinthe’s bench. I was more thinking of a separate driver’s seat though and a double passenger one.
