| No overtaking allowed, and a 50mph convoy speed limit. No sorting of van types either, everyone parks in the order that they start - at least that's the idea... ________________________________________________________________________________ www.alpinegrovetouringpark.com Twitter: @AlpineGrove Facebook: facebook.com/alpinegrovetouringpark

Lol - 50mph speed limit - that never works. Some T2 owners see it as a challenge to get there as quickly as possible. ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay | |

| We are planning to join the convoy near Epsom/M25 but haven't booked so will have to take our chances at the other end.
Does anyone know if non-campers can join in at Hook Road in the morning?

| If you loiter around the roundabout at Jnc 9 of the M25 (Gatwick bound junction) then you'll be able to join the gang there as they come along from Epsom. You won't be entitled to park on Madeira Drive if you haven't paid though. ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay | |

| Not sure how they dedicate the parking on Madeira drive, but space is reduced this year as they are erecting a large viewing wheel............ | |

| The Brighton Breeze t-shirts are blue this year. SCOOBY blue! 4 Brazis here so far, Tallulah, Sunny, Grace from South coast campers (hired) and a blue - also hired. Tallulah and Sunny will be in convoy - both orange. ________________________________________________________________________________ www.alpinegrovetouringpark.com Twitter: @AlpineGrove Facebook: facebook.com/alpinegrovetouringpark

| We had a fabulous time. Lost sight of Tallulah & Co. soon after Epsom (due to 2 people playing bumper cars) but found some friendly Bugs and old T2s to convoy with. The guys at the front said we could pay our £40 an park up but we opted for street parking and made the most of having our folding bikes on board. Brazi Bays were sadly few and far between.....but the orange guys held the end up well. Had a lovely chat with VW Kampers too | |

| What a great weekend! We set off on Friday after school/work and arrived at Hook Road Arena Epsom around 7pm to be greeted with, "Wow, ANOTHER new one!". After further investigation we found 'the other one' referred to was an orange (very similar to Tallulah) 2010 so we were then on a mission to find it! And find it we did - Sunny (how appropriate!) - with enough space for us to squeeze Tallulah in next door. Used mainly as dissabled transport and day-to-day work horse, this was one of Sunny's first camping trips despite being a 2010. Two more Brazi's arrived in the morning, Grace hired from East Coast Campers and a blue one hired from somewhere else, and the convoy set off at 8.30 as planned. We saw (and frantically waved) at Mickar at the first roundabout and they managed to slot in behind Sunny, so that made 5 Brazi's on the convoy that we know of. We made good time to Brighton, spotting a few break-down casualties along the way, but there were more to come as it was taking another 90 mins to get parked along Madiera Drive and the outside temperature and lack of 'Breeze' left very little air to cool the air-cooled. Tallulah's aqua-fan came on several times during the wait which prompted some surprising looks. We were also given a Brazilian flag by an ex-brazi owner who said selling his bus was the hardest decision he had ever had to make! It was impossible to stay together for the whole journey, but we did start behind and park next to Campo of Grandpa in my Pocket fame which was a big attraction for all the kids, and Sunny was never far away. We spent the next few hours looking at all the buses and bugs, spotted 2 or 3 more Brazis including Jas, an all silver and a dark blue, then hit the beach! We left Madiera Drive and arrived at Brighton Race Course around 5pm to set-up Campo Braziliano, along with Jas. The evenings entertainment was 'interesting' but everyone was in good spirits due to the weather. We spent the majority of the next day on the beach between Hove and Portslade which, despite the weather, was almost empty - the beaches closer to Brighton were rammed! - and headed home late afternoon. Good to meet everyone, many thanks for whoever organised the weather, comiserations to whoever organised the parking - although Madiera Drive is not the most accessible place. Thanks for the message Scooby, Oli was a little sad that he didn't see you - every time he sees a blue T2 (Brazi or otherwise) he asks "Is that Scooby?", so clearly his second favourite closely followed by Ginger and Max.... We may have some more photos to upload later. ________________________________________________________________________________ www.alpinegrovetouringpark.com Twitter: @AlpineGrove Facebook: facebook.com/alpinegrovetouringpark

On the very far right of your pic, almost directly in front of where we parked. A few miles the other way on Sunday. ________________________________________________________________________________ www.alpinegrovetouringpark.com Twitter: @AlpineGrove Facebook: facebook.com/alpinegrovetouringpark
