Nightshifts mate - gotta love 'em!

i camped last year then travelled in a convoy down to the seafront (not virginia!). Good bit of fun for the end of the year. Tends to rain but hey ho cant have everything! I will be going again this year if all goes to plan

We're going on foot - it's our favourite local annual eating-chips-in-the-freezing-rain event.

Like 'Bloke off the internet', we shall be undertaking the long journey again this year, 30 mins to walk or 10 ten to cycle.......

Sounds like fun, will check some dates and see if we can join in.

it appears you could just turn up but to secure a seafront pitch you need to book - and that also gets you a "regalia pack"

You can also book a pitch at the Hook Road Arena in Epsom for Friday night where the convoy starts on Sat and at Brighton Racecourse for the Sat night.

does anyone know the route taken, as ill be coming southbound M25 on the Saturday morning, and could join the convoy there...?

They normally join the M25 at Junction 9 and then head down the M23. I joined the pack at Jnc9 last year.

Hi scooby, we have been before and you can usually get parked up on the sea front, just not down in the parade. we are hoping to make it down from norwich again this year but haven't booked up. If you can't get on the race course there is a lovely camp site on the edge of Brighton. We stayed there last year after the convoy down. If we do come I will keep an eye out for you all and come say hi!

It's looking like we might be lucky with the weather this weekend, better pack the sun cream!

We plan to get to Hook Road Arena for 5.30 to 6pm on Friday, anyone else staying Friday? Happy to meet somewhere close by and arrive in convoy so we can camp and convoy on the sat.

Does anyone knoe what you get for the £40 on the gate price? Does this include either Fri or sat camping or both? The breeze website is very unclear on this.

As far as I know, the £40 doesn't include camping at either end. We paid £54 as an advance price that includes camping Fri & Sat.

Our understanding of what you get for your £40.00 is as follows:

If booking in advance the figure was £30.00
This option has now closed
You can therefore apply on the day at the gate and pay £40.00 (subject to availability)
This buys you a Regalia Pack containing:
T-Shirt, magnetic plaque, windscreen sticker, pin badge, programme.
All pre-booked (or in this case on-the-day booked) entrant vehicles will have a guaranteed seafront parking space.
And that is it.

Camping at either Hook Road Arena (£6.00 to pay when you turn up) or Brighton Race Course (£unknown but max. 300 vehicles) is all extra.

Hope this helps - but as we say, it is only our interpretation!

For those of you driving down for the 'breeze' on Saturday, if you are coming down the A23 and into town with the main group you can expect long delays as you enter the one way system, Viaduct Road, into Ditchling Road. They are digging Ditchling Road up, so from Preston fire station it's down to one lane instead of three. Been a nightmare this week, and with day trippers for the show and the weather........
Being smug, think I'll walk the two miles from home

No takers for the convoy but if we happen to see any Brazis along the route we will do our best to let you join in, failing that, make sure you come and say hello!

Try not to overtake too many of the Classics, but I have felt it necessary on occasion for Max to show some of them a clean pair of heels.
