We agonised over what sort of design to go for... Originally thought we'd go for a 1950's style look and got as far as creating two other site mock-ups. All our friends told us to go for the 60's look, so that's what we did!
Regarding WiFi, no don't use a mifi - I've tried to use them as part of long-term installations before, but they have a tendency to lock-up over time. Lulu has an Option Globesurfer router fitted - they're often used in buses / coaches for mobile Internet access.

Just checked them out. Wow, serious piece of kit, which I like but a bit more than I want to pay. Neat you can plug in Ethernet cable and telephone too.
