Your Bank Holiday Weekend

Hey Guys

Following the recent bad weather and poor forecast for this weekend doo you have any plans for this weekend - going away like the Walmsleys?

In the link below it suggests not many will be going away this Bank Holiday - so is it Kombi Kapers or DIY for you?

Scooby will be treated to a Meguiars wash - this is the only thing planned at present although we may go out for a day somewhere - weather dependant

Spending too much time on Brazilianvwbay.com, too little time writing overdue essays, reviewing pictures I took of my camper ***** at Danbury and, wishing the 23rd was this week.

Tallulah just had a wash, wax and polish, she's off to Dorset this weekend with a very nice family (and some friends in another hired camper!) to celebrate a 9th birthday.

We're staying at home, having visitors tomorrow and if the weather holds, some time spent Sunday/Monday at our allotment - plants don't just grow on their own you know!

PS: ok, maybe they do, but someone at least has to plant them first....

Working Saturday and Sunday night so no Kombi Kapers for me

Just got back from a soggy 3 day excursion to Danbury so it'll be washing and polishing tomorrow hopefully then maybe a little ride out on Sunday

We just waved Rudi goodbye with nice family of four on their way to the Dales!

So just staying local and being lazy for next three days... We will check the weather and decide tomorrow what to do next

I'm going to watch Crewe Alex secure a playoff place tomorrow, and then going to the MEN to see the Inspiral Carpets and Happy Mondays.

Sunday and Monday will be recovery days before the dreaded MOT for the van on Tuesday

Sorting out the van after the forest caper and chilling I reckon Oh and maybe fit the curtain tie backs

Working through until Monday morning.

Meeting up with Ginger and kiteman if the weather allows on Monday pm.

Just found out the other hired camper is Daisy from Camp-in-a-Vdub, the same sage green Brazi that was at Dubs in the Forest.

Tallulah must have introduced herself when we were busy elsewhere and invited Daisy out on another trip!

Just seen Tallulah and Daisy on the M3! We were doing 80 when they passed us!! ( only joking) but they looked very very cosy together!

A dry Saturday was forecast so what to doo?
Decided it had to be a 'Bank Holiday Bison Burger Day'
Looked up the site and made our plans

Drove past Stone Henge on the way to the above - seemed very busy - but not on the road thankfully
Arrived at the Bison Farm late morning after some narrow lanes to park in a small muddy car park
Very rustic but they had cancelled camping for the weekend as the ground was too wet
Spent 2 to 3 hours there - not the cheapest of outings - but we had our Bison Burger
Enjoyed it - thought it would of had a stronger taste
(next weekend we are hoping to try some Buffalo to compare the two)

During the afternoon the sun came out and so we made our way to The Inside Park campsite to see it for ourselves as it was only 40 mins away

Looked good to us and we hope to visit this site sometime this year as they celebrate 25years in business

Got home around 5.30pm - had a FAB day

We're just home from a 'damp ish' weekend at a little farm site near Battle in Sussex. The people due to come with us cried off, don't blame them as they were 'tenting'.
I went shooting with my son and the site owner (not everyone's cup of tea I know, but I've been doing it since a boy), bagged a couple of 'bunnies' which were duly cooked by 'herself' and very nice too.

Rain stopped mine and kiteman's play.

It was a unique taste unlike any thing else we have tasted
We expected it to be like venison but it was not as strong as that
Not much help we know
Guess you will need to 'rustle up' your own tasting

Looks like high pressure at the end of the week. Might be in for some dry weather
