Right ..... Sleepover done and dusted we can now turn our attention to our next Club event ... our super Kombi Kaper!

Now it may be 10 weeks away but I want you to think about getting your BraziBay ready in the next 6 weeks. Organise to get it serviced sooner rather than later. Do not organise a service the week before we go because a) something may come up that you need parts for and they may not be available and b) occasionally a bit of work can cause the odd problem - you don't want to find that happening as we approach the ferry.

Aircooled owners - make sure you get your tappets reset properly before this trip.

AquaBay owners - make sure your cooling system is functioning well ie. no leaks or air locks.

Then on both models: oil change, fuel filter change, air filter change, front beam lubricated, tyres including the spare checked for tread.

We'll be coming up with lists of things to get over the next month, much of it will be of minimal expense but nevertheless worthwhile.

Good idea Tim. I'm concerned about the exhaust - may be worth fitting a stainless steel one ahead of the trip rather than waiting for the existing one to fail.

Abs raises a very good point - have a look at your exhaust - a long journey will heat it up good and proper, if it has any weak points they'll soon be apparent once we're on Les Routes. If in doubt, replace. If you go for a stainless then it'll be done for good.

Can't wait for France - WooHoo - I've just ordered my SS Exhaust which is a good thing otherwise otherwise Robin will sound like a Yankie muscle car!

I'll be ordering up some custom GB stickers for the club - you'll get one as part of your package from Select Sites, but I'll get 12 - one for each BraziBay.

Aircooled owners - another very important thing to change before we go - your fan belt - and make sure you have a spare on-board please.

The GB stickers sounds great - I was just about to invest in some chrome ones like Roobarb has on the back of him - they look classy but I'll hold on for a custom sticker.
The only problem with the Sleepover is the massive drain on cash that occurs immediately after it - investing in all the great kit you've seen at the weekend! LOL
