You are correct, but the USB socket is only powered when the radio is ON. However if you're watching a movie on the iPad that makes sense to have it connected, then you'll have the cinema effect from all the speakers.

Hi Abs just read your blog very enjoyable, I changed our leisure battery from a 85amp to a 110amp and at the sleep over with fridge on all weekend and with all the leds and neons lit both evenings we still had two yellow lights on the volt meter in the morning. My old battery like you would have been flat by Sat morning. Tim

Hi Abs I fitted a Numax 110amp its a big old beast had to modify the locker and turn the battery 90 degrees as slightly longer but what it has done, the jack and wheel brace etc now fits down the side of the battery. If you want some pics give me a shout. Tim

Thanks Tim. I thnk I'll go for the Elecsol suggested by DL above. I think it will fit without modifying anything and will be easier for me. My business partner has just put one on his yacht and has been singing its praises.
I would appreciate some pics of your lights though sometime.

Excellent Martin , you need to enter the TT next year!!!! Reminds me of going round the TT circuit in my yoof. I must say she handles well at speed!!!!!!!!!
