Need a bit of advice, we are looking at purchasing an Event Shelter but not sure on what size to go for, if a 3m x 3m would be too small or 4.5m would be too large? Any advice would be well appreciated so I dont waste my money.. Mind you if Sue spots the air shelter she will be wanting that one no doubt…

The club one is 4.5 x 4.5 guys and I use it on the Kaper - it's not that big - I'd go for that size.

Weve a 4.5 X 4.5... wouldn't go for anything smaller in my opinion.

I got a 4.5 with side-walls, and as a bonus, a kombi will just about fit underneath, lengthways (without a roof rack) so if the weather is bad I can work on it.
(the only reason the backend is raised on ramps is that I couldn't drive it in as I had the roof rack fitted. Once in it was high enough without the ramps)

As mine is only a tin top, I wonder if it will fit anyway….

Should just about fit with a tin top, as you can see from this side view the problem I had was the roof rack, but it was easy enough to lift temporarily.
Also with the dummy wheel and rear spare the total length of mine is 4.5 metres, and the back is sticking out because I would have had to touch the wall. ( Other thing to consider on tarmac and concrete is securing guide-lines if a bit blowy, corner posts could be secured with weights)

Just received a 'machine mart' brochure and they have updated their original instant garage so that the sides extend out to form a gazebo. Not as pretty as an event shelter, but I have done some calculations, and it looks like it will accommodate a kombi with a roof rack. May be of interest for anyone looking in that direction for other uses.
