2018 - Cotswold Meet 4th/7th May

Hi Pete, that’s great thankyou - it may have been you on the phone whilst we were there.

So having done a recce today - (I’ll try and upload some photos here in a bit). The plan is coming together.

We have booked the skittle alley for a tenner from 7-9 on the Saturday evening - if only for somewhere to keep dry.

An alternative for people to a communal BBQ gathering on the Saturday could also be the fish and chip van that will be on site from 5.30-7.30pm.

The ‘shed cafe’ is open each day and does a great breakfast, coffee and cakes, lunch.

It takes about 30 mins to walk down into the town - not a lot in Charlbury it seems - co-op, pharmacy, a few pubs.

There’s a tennis court on site - who’s up for the brazibay tennis tournament?

It seems that Tim has arranged for a key cutter to be on site in the Sat pm for those of you who would like a spare keys.

If you would like to see more of the Cotswolds - Chipping Norton is 6 miles away, Stowe on the Wold is about a half hour drive, Buford is about 20 minutes and the Cotswold wildlife park is about 30 mins.

Sunday will see the brazibay convoy depart for Broadway (who’s up for this?) it’s about a 25 mile drive through pretty countryside. We will park up at the car park at Broadway Tower, where as the weather will be great we will be able to see for miles! (There’s also a great cafe and gift shop). Then those that are up for it can walk down into the village and those that don’t can drive down. Bring money - pretty shops, great deli, super cafes and pubs and a lovely fish and chip shop - I think we may head there for our tea before we leave. It may be better if we all head back in smaller groups or independently with a final departure time planned for those who want to convoy back together?

We have just visited the Norman Knight in Whichford - next door to the pottery - we spoke to Jenny the landlady - who is also a world published drag racing photographer!! She is ready to welcome us for lunch at 1pm on the Monday - it is about a 30 min drive from the campsite - the M40 at Banbury is then about 20 minutes away and the A road back towards Oxford is about 10 minutes away. I will need to let her know but next weekend how many of us will want lunch - she will then publish a menu for us to pre order from.

About 5 minutes away from the pub is the Cotswolds distillery so you could always book a last minute cheeky tour in before returning home!

He needs access to your BraziBay. Nothing needs to be removed.

The new keys are STEEL not BRASS i.e.. not soft and easy to bend.

I’m going to get one cut. Mine looks like Uri Gellar’s had his hands on it.
