| The interior was really nice TBH, but in the end I went to a specialist because I wasn't sure about it. I saw it in Southampton so it would appear it's changed owners very quickly. Could be legit but if it was me I would definetly get it checked out by Tim, it could be a bargain. Wish you were providing this service last year Tim | |

| No need for a firewall with the fuel injection system. If you've got carbs then yes. ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay | |

| VW seem to have had confidence in the modern wiring and connections. ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay | |

But lots more fuel pipes & fuel rails to injection system ? I've just taken extra safety precautions than With the firewall fitted & electric fuel cut off to fuel tank iff the fire extinguisher was ever to go off

| does anyone know any actual selling prices ?? Just wondering what we might expect should we sell. Our van is a 2003 air cooled Danbury van in good condition btw.
So if you know a real sold price it would be interesting to know. ________________________________________________________________________________ what is best in life ?

| This is the thing for me about eBay.
As long as eBay has been around, I have always regarded it as a place that people seek BARGAINS. Remember it was an Auction only site first, then Buy It Now and then they added the Classifieds section because they realised they were missing a trick.
It's a great place to detail the item you are selling no doubt. When the engine on my Porsche systematically ate itself, it was the ideal place to market the car with a broken motor. But I don't see eBay as the right place to get a decent price for your non-problematic camper van or car. It also leads to an effective devaluation of items. If something pops up on eBay and doesn't sell for a reserve (assuming the reserve is realistic) then punters viewing the listing will get the impression when no sale occurs, that the item isn't worth that kind of money.
The trade don't list their camper vans as auction items. For good reason. They want to sell them at the advertised price. Private owners should take the same stance, as long as they are realistic with their pricing. ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay
