| We simply like the idea of not draining the main battery so we can always start Scooby may want to run off at any moment of the day ________________________________________________________________________________ Proud winners of Spike's Trophy 2017 Scooby - Born To Run | |

| When I did mine. I cut the wire coming from the back of the fuse box for the 12v socket and connected that to the leasure battery. I found the best place to get to the front cab light wires was on the left hand A pillar. you can see where the cables run up by the washer bottle. ________________________________________________________________________________ Ginger man without a ginger van | |

| I'm thinking that 'Tow Bar' should be added. | |

| Great thread. I would even say essential reading for anyone looking at buying or looking at spec on their van if they are still in a position to choose. A couple of extras that we got when we ordered Morrison were IMHO a waste of money - the swivel seat and the reverse sensors - the latter seem to speak a code which has absolutely no relevance to anything behind me*! One of my favourites (also not on the list), which admittedly does not add to the funcitionality of the van, but is aestheticallly very pleasing is the retro steering wheel.
*They have been adjusted and apparently it is my fault, due to the rigorous regular polishing of the chromE bumpers!

| I have never heard of too much cleaning being the reason for a technical failure.
I can smell something, can you? ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay

| Our sensors just confirm we're in reverse, which is surprisingly reassuring! ________________________________________________________________________________ Absinthe makes the heart grow fonder

| Pop Top is No. 1 for us - for reasons already covered by others. Closely followed by hob (cup of Tea anyone?) - Lowering is great for looks and I think handling is better too.

That seems to be all We stated the above in March 2011 - still all current for Scooby (Doo not intend to tow any thing) ________________________________________________________________________________ Proud winners of Spike's Trophy 2017 Scooby - Born To Run
