leisure battery connection query

Hi
Sorry if this has been covered before but I can't find the answer I need!
I've just had a new leisure battery delivered - it has 2 points on each terminal - ie 2 negative & 2 positive. Both have plastic caps on them - 1 screw fixing & the other just lifts off. The old battery had already been taken out - don't ask - Halfords b****p - so can't compare.
Does it matter which connection point I use? & do I leave the plastic cap on the other one? or have I got the wrong battery? &, why would it have 2 points of contact? What would the second be used for? Solar panel maybe?
