Subject: New purchase manual and fuel question Fri Nov 10, 2023 1:55 pm
Hi
We have just purchased a 2011 Brazilian camper van called Bluebell and have paper copies of the service manual and user instructions. These make no mention of the engine (1.4 petrol water-cooled), how the biofuel works or electrical fuses / switches.
Can anyone advise where I can get a manual from.
Also can I use E1O petrol.
Apologies if all on the Forum but I have not used anything like this before.
Thanks
Chris

Welcome.
The only Volkswagen manual is in Brazilian Portuguese. Most Kombis will have a copy of this.
Yes you can use E10 freely.
The auxiliary tank is only used when the Kombi detects high levels of ethanol in the main tank - such as E85 which is the norm in Brazil. It's ideal to keep the auxiliary tank topped up with E5 Super Unleaded as it goes off slower. Leaving that tank empty will cause a low level fuel light to illuminate to the right of the fuel gauge. This lamp is ONLY pertinent to the auxiliary tank. There is no low level warning lamp on the main tank. Once you hit the red zone you have 7 litres left.

Thanks Tim
The manual was not supplied with the camper. I will have a look on ebay.
