Hi, have previously owned VW cars but as I am not particularly mechnically minded have had them serviced and MOTd by my nearest VW main dealership. I am not aware of any VW camper specialists near where I live, Sidcup, Kent and not sure if the main dealers would service, MOT the van. Its a way off yet as 1st MOT is August next year but will probably need a service in the meantime - any advice appreciated?

If you have a good relationship with your local VW dealer I'd give them a try. Peppa on here uses his local VW dealer for servicing his AquaBay without problem. Depending on how long they have held the VW franchise, they may well have staff who will have worked on the Classic Bay and will know all about greasing up the front beam etc.
If not, you have VW Downunder to the north-east of you and VW Kampers south-west, both less than a 2 hour drive from you.

Thanks Tim, thats reassuring. I have used the dealership lots and they have always been very good so I will have a word re service and MOT and see what they say. Out of interest my van has only done 12000km and was last serviced @9000km in August 2010 - the lady I bought had not used much this year and decided to sell...lucky for me! Next service date on the Danbury manual suggests 12months or 15000km for next service, as I am not intending to use much before new year is it OK to wait for 15000km to service?

That's only 1800 or so miles off so yes I'm sure that'd be fine.

Maybe with a strong tail wind, but definitely not with any cross winds, and we all know how notorious the m4 is for cross winds...
Tallulah is certainly capable of travelling at the motorway speed limit, but it's not a very pleasurable experience, not to mention fuel economy.
