Brilliant weekend, Thanks very much Absinthe and Dalesman for getting it all organised. It was great to meet up with everyone again, and we were very lucky with the weather. The journey home was a bit tasty in places, with interesting crosswinds on the M6!

I'll get some photos organised soon, but have to make the most of the weather today to get Roobarb turned around for our trip to France at the end of the week.

How long did it actually take you to get there - including all the stops on the way?
The same for the way home?

In the absence of any conclusive photographic proof I don't think that really happened - did it? Although after a couple of Peroni's, a bottle of red, southern comfort, rum and mulled wine I don't remember much about saturday night

In answer to your questions;

Time up was 6hrs, including a couple of stops, one of which was for petrol. Back down took me longer, as I stopped off at Sandbach for 4.5hrs to see a friend. Having left Muker at 10am, I eventually got home at 8pm.

Total mileage for me, including a trip into Richmond to buy some boots, was 600miles. Quite a lot really and it's brought my next service point up Still, an Ab Fab time. Location was truly stunning and I'll have to get back up there again.

Not exactly an event shelter

FAB pics - is that green VW logo on the door magnetic or painted on Absinthe?

It's a vinyl sticker I bought at Camperjam, Scooby, and I don't like - as soon as I get some time it's coming off (hairdryer needed I suspect)

The only reason I said a bit further south is because I was being selfish. Would love to attend the northern chapter meet but it is just a bit too far to drive as I don't finish work until 3 pm on Friday and Muker is quite a long way to drive after a day at school.

No suggestions Marcus about Midland meet ups - the Kombi Sleepover counts as that.

JLS - it's only 3.5 hours from Leicester to the Dales. that's the beauty of a Kombi - it's mobile accomodation. Why not drive for 2 hours, then do the last 1.5 hours early on Sat morning?

Some people dream of finsihing work at 3pm on a Friday!*


*not me though, I stopped working Fridays 2 years ago!

I've just had a look at home on the pc - seems ok - I use Firefox, I wonder if it's I.E. which has issues.

Hopefully that's ok now - can you let me now if it's still not right please?

Must be an IE issue - the text is OK now but the pics are only partially showing and there's lots of blank screen - see screen shot

No, it's still out. The pictures (Geoff's big ones) are too wide for the page and extending off the right side. (Safari)

Edit - see Geoff has beaten me too it, though with a slightly different outcome.

FAB Blog as ever - read all OK - no problems - we use Firefox on our laptop - but some of the pics are extra large across the screen could maybe re-size
