I agree, give it a shake.

A full gas bottle (907 size) weighs 6.5kg and an empty 3.75kg.

Most campsites stock refills along with the occasional garage (lots of garages stock gas refills but not many have 907s) and be on the lookout for a local shop that might, we found a newsagent/off-license less than a mile away that has them and is now or regular supplier.
