| A bit of advice I picked up from my Speed Awareness course this morning that is worth sharing: when waiting to turn right, keep your wheels straight until you actually move. If you get shunted from the rear, if your wheels are turned, you could get pushed into the path of oncoming traffic. Wheels straight, you'll just go forward.
I was also reminded that for our BraziBays the following speed limits apply:
National speed limit on a single carriageway = 50mph National speed limit on a dual carriageway = 60mph National speed limit whilst towing (any trailer) = 60mph
Take it easy out there and enjoy the drive! ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay

I might be wrong, but I think they gave you duff information about the single and dual carriageways. https://www.gov.uk/speed-limits

| Sorry chaps - I know what you are saying - the figures I've quoted are for vans not cars. Our Kombis are vans. ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay | |

| Top tip on the shunting. The extract attached from.gov suggests that motorhomes are the same as cars if under 3.05 tonnes max unladen. The kombi is a motor caravan on my v5 and the weight is well under that. - Attachments

| Same on my log book. If it complies with requirements in attached (which ours do), it is classified as a motor caravan and same speed limits as cars apply.

| If your wheels are straight..surely you will be Tboned regardless if traffic is passing !!but I suppose you don't have a head on..which is not recommended in a bay |

| 70mph is the motorway cruising speed for Tallulah unless it's windy or we have the trailer attached... ________________________________________________________________________________ www.alpinegrovetouringpark.com Twitter: @AlpineGrove Facebook: facebook.com/alpinegrovetouringpark

| same as my T5 Transporter which while 100% van is same speed limit as cars due to weight it does a fair bit more than 70 mph though (closed track profession driver disclaimer) the bit on the back like T28 is the max laden weight (2.8 tons) one point of note, some vans and even cars can creep over the weight limits for drivers with the newer lower level license I think its 4.4 tonnes but I've got the older one so don't bother too much but its come up as an issue when testing armoured range rovers and things like than and some gross train weights with T5's and trailers can catch people out when loaded especially when towing racing cars and loaded vans for weekends and bigger Crafters easily get over it | |

| could be wrong about T5 van! bit of cross over with Kombi and Transporters quite a dangerous area but motorcaravans like our Brazi bays are certainly classed as the same as cars if you are feeling brave enough to do 70 it looks legal! | |
