The bike is coming and I will be on it for a couple of hours at some point come rain or shine, hopefully with my team mates. We cannot fix it for 19th so let's rejoice that there will be showers at the site and that they will be most welcome if there is any liquid sunshine...We will just have to be sensible Steve, I know it may be difficult for the speed merchants amidst us.. Bring some wet gear but hope for

As previously posted, the programme was made in 2008. The Monsal Trail now runs for 8.5 miles from Bakewell to Chee Dale, including 4 tunnels fully paved and lit.

We are def bringing bikes and will be up for a ride out

We got a 7Kg LIDL bag of charcoal for the BBQ.

Im bringing a regular sized guitar instead of my little one due to a potentially larger sing song group.

We are hoping to go for a cycle on Saturday or Sunday weather dependant.

We will also be going for a gentle ride. Mags has a brand new bike so won't want it manky. I have a dog carrier on the rear pannier for Zooey so it would be nice if it was dry as she does not like the wet.

The weather and countryside looked amazing when Julia Bradbury walked the Monsal trail.  Bummer!

That BBC episode has almost sold a trip to the area to the family.

I hope it improves.

Had a cracking run up via the M40/M6 Toll. The scenery as we drove through Matlock was stunning.



Then the fastest erectors in the West got on with pitching the event shelters:



The campsite is lovely - we have a large section to ourselves and the bar looks great!!

Then it rained!!









But that didn't stop the spirits or the bbq!!




Once darkness fell it was time to try out the new led bulbs I'd fitted to Max this week!

Looks like you all had a fantastic time, miffed that we missed out on it. Great looking at all the photos though..
