Northern (and beyond?) Chapter Meet 2016 - June 10th to 12th

I'm sure I remember TimV winning the Black Pudding in our Northern Lucky Dip at a Sleepover and saying he'd never tried it.

I love it.

Perhaps we should organise some Northern themed events at next year's Northern Chapter Meet, e.g. whippet racing.

I'm with Tallulah, love it fried. Also raw with a ploughmans.

As for tripe and onions in milk, and trotters as above, we used to have them as a kid when my Gran came round to stay on a Friday. (Used to smell the house out for days )

As I'm old enough to remember rationing I used to love oxtail, liver etc but now the television foodies  have got in on the act offal prices have rocketed. (Only thing I couldn't hack was brains and heart)

(Apologies, I'm starting to sound like The Four Yorkshiremen,... I am allowed though, being an honorary Northerner).

I don't remember rationing, but I did have a ration book. I've still got it somewhere.

We were hoping to leave after lunch on Friday, but things haven't gone quite to plan so aiming to leave Reading at 4pm instead. Eta 8pm traffic permitting.

Leaving as soon as schools out and hoping to be with you about 9pm.

The Scooby two have taken the day off so we hope to be there by lunch time on Friday - traffic permitting!

We should be there around 2pm assuming we get off on time. We are bringing our bikes. Can anyone confirm that the Monsal trail tunnels are open and lit? Julia Bradbury's program shows them shut.
