Probably.

We've stayed over at Hook road and joined the convoy for the last few years, and it's great fun. The first year we also stayed at Brighton Race Course on the Saturday evening but were quite disappointed so haven't bothered since.

Hook Road is fun, people arriving until late in the evening, burger vans for a snack and a few mobile toilets. 7am on Saturday morning and everyone starts to assemble in the next field for the convoy - T2 splits in the first 2 or 3 rows (it is their event after-all) and everyone else as they arrive. Normally 200-250 vehicles in total and rarely more than a few Brazis.

The splits then lead the convoy but as soon as it reaches the motorway it turns into a bit of a mad rush, the good parking spots in Brighton fill pretty quickly.

The day itself is good, lots of traders and things to see, especially if the weather is kind and hundreds of dubs of all sorts.

Brighton Breeze 2013

We went last year for the first time. As we live in Epsom we didn't camp the Friday night, just went there to pick up our tickets and goody bag which included a T shirt, then waited at junction 8 of the M25 on Saturday morning till we saw some vans go by. The actual cruise itself depends on how fast,/slow each van goes and what the other traffic does, I suppose at maximum we were in a little cruise of about 5 vans at any one time. Because we had paid for the cruise, once we arrived at Madeira drive we were allowed to park up along the seafront. By chance we were nextdoor but one to Tallulah. Then it was a case of mooching looking at all the other vans and the market stalls. Tim had organised a pub lunch and we met up with some other Brazis. After lunch we went for another mooch then drove to Brighton racecourse. We happened to see our other family ( Ive got a yellow campervan Facebook group) so we parked up sardine like near them. If we hadnt met them I think it would have been a bit lonely. There was a ska band indoors as entertainment and a burger van. It was freezing that night!
Would definitely go again, probably wouldn't camp at the racecourse again though.

We also have our tickets, will be staying at Alderstead Heath Caravan Club site just off the M25 on Thursday night, then Hook road on the Friday night . We are booked into the Caravan Club Site in Brighton on the Saturday Night. Will be our 2nd time this year. We find it better going down on the Thursday night to miss the traffic.

Update!! - Unfortunately it is my damn weekend so that scuppers that plan... Won't be long to Halloween though so looking forward to seeing you then. Keep in touch with regards to your plans on heading down there and if possible we can meet up and convoy...

Sounds a good idea depending upon timing for everyone.
We hope to get there around lunchtime on the Friday.

It's not yet confirmed but it's now looking unlikely that we will be at Hook road tonight, opting to travel straight to Brighton in the morning instead.

It will also probably be only me or me and Oli as something has come up that Serena needs to attend to.

I will confirm later once I know more.

Those that are going doo enjoy the sea & sun and perhaps take the odd pic or two!

Managed to get on the road good and early and got to Madeira Drive just ahead of the convoy.

Parked in a great spot near the 'eye' at 9:15am. Seen 5 other BraziBays and spoken to all of the owners so if we just met and explained about the forum, WELCOME!
