£12k is only the starting bid. It looks like a bargain which will attract more bid, these things tend to sell for closer to their actual value, let's wait and see.
We agree with you Tallulah, but we would have set a reserve price (this item appears not to have one). So as you say, a potential bargain for someone, but we thought it prudent to give a word of warning.

There is some VERY interesting statistical analysis that shows items listed with a higher starting bid or with a reseve price actually achieve lower final bid values than those without - it's all to do with getting a 'percieved' bargain then being caught up in the excitment of the bidding process.
That said, it's one thing to list something without reserve and a 99p starting bid that is worth relatively little. It takes someone with large 'cahoones' (or a lvery arge promotional engine, maybe a few thousand facebook/twitter followers...) to do it with something the value of a BraziBay - although I have seen it done with a Porche 911.
But let's not lose sight of it not having a poptop or any camping kit other than a bed. It's not a 'Diamond' in the spec sense. Nevertheless a great blank canvas for someone.

Think that's Saunton Sands in the background on the main picture. It's been taken on the road into Croyde as it goes round the headland. Tried sleeping over in that layby once, never again.
