Does anyone have a spare IRS transmission marked PF19 or something similar for sale? I am having a hard time finding a gearbox. Even though it is a IRS-based bus, a beetle box fits, but the shifter sits about 3/4 inch lower and will not connect to the shift rod. These are very specialized transmissions it seems.

You need to swap out the nose from your old box to the beetle box then it should all line up.
