Our holiday at Clachtoll - North West Scotland

Hi folks,

Just returned from our summer holiday at Clachtoll in Sutherland, North West Scotland. http://clachtollbeachcampsite.co.uk/

We discovered this site 2 years ago when we first got the camper and stayed 2 nights, last year we stayed a week and it rained for 6 and half days! This year we stayed for 10 days and it only rained over night on the last night, but luckily the awning was dry by the time we were ready to pack up.

Next year we might aim for a fortnight with no rain at all - Scottish Weather!

If you're ever heading in this direction, the site is well worth a visit.

We live in Central Scotland, so we didn't need many stops

On our way up we stopped at Dingwall for one night, there's a giant tesco there to buy everything you've forgotten and stock up on bbq charcoal! Dingwall to Clachtoll was about 2 hours.

On the way back down we came straight home, so about 5 and a half hours driving plus stops for some 'campervan photo opportunities'

Looks fab! Lovely clear water too!
