Hi All,
As requested i am going to attempt to post a few photos of our 6 week trip on here! We eventually did 4500 miles, and had a fantastit time, visiting 12 countries, from Belgium, down to Croatia, then around the med and back through France. Clementine was amazing throughout. The only problems encountered were a shattered side window and broken charger so can't grumble! This was the campsite where we stayed in Austria .It was in Innsbruck, and had stunning views! The stunning national Park in Croatia.
Pitched up by the Italian Lakes.
Running repairs in Venice after ordering a new side sliding window unit
Me and my better half by the grand canal in Venice
Clementine with her awning up when caroles sister met up with us in Milan
Some convoy buddies!!
Dinner on the Beach near Cannes
Clementine hanging out in Marseille
The Medieval Fortress at Carcassone in France. This was amazing and well worth a visit!!
Tip-toeing through the Pyrenees, this certainly isn't the M25!
Surfing in Biarritz, not needing a wetsuit....bliss...
Chateau de Chenonceau by night, in Northern France was amazing.
Seeing all these makes me wish we were still there.....

There's some stunning places there by the looks of it. And some cracking weather as well. Looks like you've had a superb time and top marks to Clementine as well, she's done you proud.

Wow what a superb time you must have had. You'll need to detail how you changed that window unit on-tour in case any of us need to do the same. How did it break?

Not sure Tim, I think there must have been a weak point in the glass somewhere. Carole shut the sliding door, then half an hour later it just shattered in the middle of the camp site! All very strange. The window itself was really easy to fit. Working on the inside you prise back the rubber surround, and push the window out. To put the new one in you need to run nylon cord around the inside edge of the window leaving a bit spare at each end to get a good grip on to pull on, and it also helped to put some around the outside edge too. Then put one end of the window in, and have someone pushing the window in from the outside. Whilst they are doing this working in the inside of the van carefully pull the cord out pulling outwards, this in turn pull the seal out and over the body work edge. (ensure you are holding the other end tight though as otherwise it will just slip around), then pull out the outside cord from outside.

Ah .... brings back fond memories of fitting the windows back in my '63 Bug.
Weird about the glass just going though. Maybe it had been hit by a stone at some point and the ambient temperature caused it to finally give. Pleased you got it sorted though. Who supplied the new window for you out there?

Just kampers sorted me out. Luckily it broke before our family visited so they brought it over with them in their motorhome.

It's great how some things just time out well. Good news.
