Having considered changing mirrors, light rims and hubcaps to chrome I have found it confusing on who to buy them from. Have seen the light rims on JK which would suit a BBay however, the hubs and mirrors on JK, C&C and VW Heritage say they are not for BBays. If you've sourced them yourselves where did you get them from? Any help will be appreciated

Mirrors from C&C - buy the best quality. Headlamp rings from VW Heritage - again best quality.
Smother in wax before installing.

Max came with chrome hubcaps that have the roundel. They have no part number so I doubt they're original. However all the time they were 'active' they stayed rust free - either because they are good quality or because the coating of wax I regularly gave them was working.
I've got a feeling there's a supply issue at the moment of flat hubcaps with the roundel. Could be worth seeing if a generic supplier like gsfcarparts.com or eurocarparts.co.uk have the cheaper variants. Then Hammerite the backs and wax them like crazy.

Update: just checked veewee.co.uk which is the dedicated Aircooled section of gsf - they do have the flat hubcaps for £16.80 each. They'll be cheap chrome but if you look after them they'll be effective. They should have the roundel but I'd phone to check before ordering.

Sure - that's an option but it'll be expensive to do them properly ie triple chromed. Plus if you want to revert to Olive's current look it won't be so easy.
