| One of the pluses of the Kombi for me is how bright they are inside with all the windows available so I'm wondering how much darker they are with tints.
We have tints on the Discovery partly for security and partly to stop Boz from getting too hot and I'm tempted to put some on Absinthe.
What's the view of the tinted minority? ________________________________________________________________________________ Absinthe makes the heart grow fonder

| When I had Kosmic here for a few weeks earlier this year, I was very impressed with how much cooler the cabin was on a hot sunny day with the tinted glass.
It's certainly something I'd consider, however we haven't seen the sun in the UK for the best part of a year now, just rain, so is it worth the bother?! ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay

| We like the tinted windows on Scooby. Do not feel it is too dark inside. Certainly helps with privacy. Depends upon the level of tint I guess. | I've got limo black tints all round. From the inside looking out you can still see clearly. It's not so good of a night time though but hasn't caused any problems. Just need to be a bit more careful when reversing.
Got mine done for privacy and cos I prefer the look of tinted windows ________________________________________________________________________________ Ginger man without a ginger van

| I'm going to investigate some tomorrow (was going to do it today but events prevented me). Found a local company and will give them a ring. I do have concerns re how much darker it will be inside, especially at night, and as said above, one of the good things about these vehicles is how light they are. Privacy issues are a consideration, as I don't like any old Tom Dick or Harry poking his nose in. Don't want gangster tints but something that stops the casual peeping Tom might be the way.

| We have limo glass on the sides, you really struggle to see in it, but on previous cars had it on the back and it caused a problem reversing out of our drive so under advice from pentagon glass had a lighter shade on the back , making the vision is fine. It does make it slightly darker inside but nothing that has ever caused us any worries | |

| Quotes I've had so far are in the £250 region. Bit more than I'd bargained for and also want the kombi for day+. Inconvenient. Still looking. | |

| If its done properly they will probably need a day or two , we dropped ours off on a Friday morning and collected it on the Monday night. Our windows were removed to have the tints on , then put back, from memory the sliding windows on the side are awkward ones - the only one he couldn't take out was where the units are ( I wanted the Danbury sign removed but unfortunately he couldn't get to it ) We paid £300 and they came with a guarantee - the Princes Audi A8 Armoured / bullet proof car was getting them done at the same time !!!!
Did ask to have a look , lol, but wasn't allowed.

| Sunny is booked in for tinting next week. Llumar film, can be done in the day and 7 year warranty. So, subject to a decent job being done, should be good. | |

| £170 notes but that was for a quick job. It's not perfect - they didn't take the windows out but I didn't have the time to leave the vehicle for that. As a result there is one spot which isn't perfectly up to the edge but you've got to look for it. The rest is very good and they've used high quality film. | |

| That sounds like a good price. Can't remember what I paid for the Disco but I think about £220 incl a group discount about 4 years ago. ________________________________________________________________________________ Absinthe makes the heart grow fonder
