| Well, it was only a short weekend trip but Norman made it out into the north Lakes. He even made it up the Kirkstone Pass and down The Struggle!! Lots of smiley faces stared and waved at him. A nice weekend in Ambleside and Keewick. | |

| Yes, lots of blue sky. Saturday was perfect. The drive around Ullswater was idylic.
Lake was flat, no ripples, and you could take the perfect reflection photo with the hills in the lake.
A lovely day.
Norman wasn't overly chuffed with his journey down the 1 in 10 gradient Struggle.....................very very steep. Brakes smelt funny by the end!!!

A Kombi and a steep hill do not go well together We suffered the same brake smell when 'surviving' the steep hills in Lynton & Lynmouth Glad you made it OK ________________________________________________________________________________ Proud winners of Spike's Trophy 2017 Scooby - Born To Run

| the one (well almost the one) part of the UK I really miss is pootling around't Lakes. Spent many happy hours sitting in Kirkstone pass inn or wandering around Paterdale.
We have had quite few very hot brake smells over the years and squeals - especially in the Pyrenees. Changing from the brazilian OEM pads to Fedora helps though - but it doesnt get rid of it totally
