| Having recently had a towbar fitted I took the caravan on it's maiden voyage yesterday - only up and down the road for a couple of miles Off to the YNOT festival today for the weekend Wish me luck with the towing - plenty of narrow windy roads in Derbyshire to master and probably a muddy field to get out of on Sunday I'll let you know how I go on | |

| Superb - def needs colour matching to your Kombi though imo. A wrap should do it. Are you bringing that to France? ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay | |

| Tim - trying out the caravan to see if I like it and it tows ok but not taking to France - maybe next year. Will definately bling it up if I decide to keep it - already buying bits for it
Dizzard - good spot on the turntable - it is now filled in as it was when we bought the premises - the building used to be a post office sorting depot

| That should slow you down a bit on the M1 Marcus might be able to keep up with you after the sleepover next year. ________________________________________________________________________________ "You can check out any time you like but you can never leave"

| Back from the ynot festival. Great weekend had by all. Saturday night we were evacuated back to our tents/campers due to a bad storm. The towing went well. I had the nerves like the first time I drove my camper. I'm sure I will get more confident the more I do it. Forever looking in the mirrors making sure the caravan was still behind us. Did some pretty steep hills which it handled well. Not sure if the people following me thought the same. The weight of the caravan is 650kg. Never went above 50 mph due to the narrow country lanes so didn't experience any caravan wobble. Pulling away at junctions is obviously a bit slow but not too bad. My main concerns were I thought I was in a big lorry and everyone was close to me. Maybe the mix of the left hand drive, narrow lanes and pulling the caravan accounted for that. Also the dred of making a wrong turn and not being able to turn around. Thankfully I'm sure that will happen on another trip when I've practiced reversing. | |

| Well done mate. Go to a supermarket car park after closing to practise your reversing. That's how I taught myself, my mum, ex, etc when we had a horse trailer. That was in a Series 2 Land Rover so a vehicle with equal play in the steering to a BraziBay. ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay | |

| Can't say I noticed any admiring looks. At least no more than usual. If you look at the second picture where would you paint the blue half from. The natural line which is where the grey sticker is doesn't line up with the van. So it would need to be about 10 inches higher to match the van. Not sure about which to go for but thinking a full flow through at the same height would look best.
Yes Tim. Will definately be in the car park when back from France practicing. I can alway unhook it and move it into place. Pretty easy unless on a slope or wet muddy grass.

| Would definitely look better with the blue to the same height as the van but would that give you issues with the existing stripes.
Even just doing the lower panel would look fantastic. ________________________________________________________________________________ Absinthe makes the heart grow fonder

| I'd go to the lower edge of the windows as the marking point. I wouldn't paint it though as that may devalue it. I'd have it wrapped. ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay | |

Haha yeah I get that, but people often find after a while that they either want something bigger or that it wasn't so useful. Painting it would potentially make it harder to sell on. Just my opinion of course. ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay

| I'd go to the window line. Might not be quite as high as the window line on the bay but IMHO it'd look a bit odd going mid way up the windows. But look forward to seeing what your creativity produces | |

| I think the top half would also need to be a nice crisp white to match the top of the Kombi. I remember an episode of 'Wheeler Dealers' from a few years back where they wrapped an old T25. Not keen on the bubble effect but it did successfully change the look. | |

| Tim - if it came out like that I'd send it straight back - that's for the visual though
The blue would need to be higher up by about 15cm - bit misleading from the photo

| It was just a guide!
You'd need to get white mini Empi alloys too. It's the law. ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay
