25th is a Friday....

Oops. Yes - out on Thursday 24th, arriving at the campsite Friday 25th. So no weekend traffic to deal with at either end!

The majority of Berkshire schools finish on Friday 25th, consequently the earliest we could leave Reading would be late afternoon Friday.

If there is a departure in the evening we could make that, otherwise it would be the first one on Saturday.

We are ok for dates

Our kids finish lunchtime on wed 23rd so these dates okay for us. Would be happy to go a couple of days later if it means more of us can make it

I think mine finish 23rd but will double check. Sadly info isn't on their website, so will need bit more time to find out.

We also break up on Wednesday. Just out of interest though would it have to be right at the start of the hols?

Constrained by availability of space for the group on both the ferry and campsite for the most part and a little by my leave restrictions.

Dates good with us - Leicester always break early - the 17th!

Sunny, check your dates by looking at yourchildren's city / county council website - they will be on there.

Ok dates can be shifted along.  However going out on the Friday 25th is out because the ferry is virtually full and it would cost an extra £127 per van.

We can go out on either the Saturday 26th or Sunday 27th and keep the same deal as if we were going on the Thursday.  The pricing is as follows:

2 persons in 1 campervan £920
Extra person £52
Extra child (under 13) £32

This price includes 10 nights at the campsite inclusive of electricity, local taxes and ferry crossings (2 berth inside cabin.)  Different crossings and/or cabins may incur additional charges.  Overheight and overlength charges may apply and are not included in these prices.

if travelling on Sat26th we could come but would need to get a ferry back on Sat 2nd Aug or Sun3rd Aug as do have to work on the 4th Aug , without wishing to be to much hassle to you Tim any chance of pricing this up for us.. Assuming this would still allow 5/6 nights on site which still seems worth while...

Tim, are you using the same agent this year? We may speak to Jean about ferries if that's ok. Still working on dates but doing our best to join the Krew.

Sounds good, family discussion will commence once my hangover has abated, but looking positive so far.

Yes we are using the same agent, but please don't contact her yet re-booking as we need to get the dates definitive FIRST.  Until we lock down the dates that the main group will be travelling we can't guarantee ferry travel and/or space at the campsite.

So what I require of you NOW is a simple indication as to whether you CAN GO on either the 24th, 26th or 27th.

Tim. We'll almost certainly be coming on the trip but can't confirm for the ferry yet. We'll probably join the Krew for the last week of our trip.

Moving forward with this I'm making Saturday 26th July the start date - 8.15pm ferry out of Portsmouth to St. Malo.  I asked our agent to work out some variations and forewarned her that there will be supplementary requests via you guys when you ring up to pay your deposits.
