| Ran the Brighton marathon at the weekend. Huge thanks to everyone that sponsored me, managed to run the full distance without walking in 4hrs 51mins.

Sheffield marathon got cancelled on Sunday when the runners were on the starting line. The water didn't turn up. Most people just ran the race anyway | |

| Well done Kiteman, it was our 'Olive' you saw parked up along the front. We were there supporting our son who was doing his first full marathon - not bad time 4hrs 16... But he needed Olive as an ambulance for the ride home and slept on the bed which he was thankful for. It was a great day and well done for taking part I am sure you raised loads. I was surprised not to see any other VWs around although we did arrive at about 6am to get parked up before they shut all the roads. | |

| 4hrs 16 was a good time, I was well chuffed I managed under 5hrs
I booked a B&B for the weekend, ended up going home Monday. Know exactly how your son felt, could have really done without the up hill walk to the train station Monday morning.
Got The Southdowns marathon in June and for some silly reason have just booked Brighton again for next year ________________________________________________________________________________ Ginger man without a ginger van | |

| Not in it for the fittness. Started off as a personal goal to do a Marathon, then thought what the heck if I can do one I'll up my game and do one along the Southdowns way as well. But after completing the one on Sunday I cant describe how amazing/emotional it was, the atmosphere was incredible, way up there on the list of best thing I've done. Have to do it again ________________________________________________________________________________ Ginger man without a ginger van
