| We haven't spoken about it much but I think a 2 day drive each way might be too much. If a group wants to head to Italy, no reason why a second group cant head to France or another part of Europe instead? | |

| Whatever you call it, a second group is going to require a second organiser. We will just see if we can fit in with the consensus. If the preference is Italy, we would either pass on it or make our own way there and back at a slower pace and meet up in Italy. Plymouth to Santander would probably be a better option for us, but no doubt the ferry is much more expensive. | |

| Or we could do Portsmouth crossing go to dordogne or vendee for a week and then a drive to spain for a week there and Santander back . 2 bays have done this and it will cut down on driving and the cost of Santander both ways | |

That's a shame, they used to have something similar in France from Paris to the south - Toulouse and some other cities - but I don't think it's still running. ________________________________________________________________________________ www.alpinegrovetouringpark.com Twitter: @AlpineGrove Facebook: facebook.com/alpinegrovetouringpark

| Right, back from my crazy week in Ibiza and looking ahead. In light of things that folks have posted about travel times and distance, and today's result in the Independence referendum, I'd like to know your thoughts on a change of destination to ..... Scotland. I've been meaning to drive Max along the West coast for a long time and after the fabulous pics that Absinthe has posted, I'm thinking why don't we show Scotland what it's like to have a Kombi Konvoy visit? We could do a 2 or 3 centre trip encapsulating a number of activities. So what are your thoughts, please reply below. ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay | |

| Yes, we'd be up for this. We were intending to do Scotland next year anyway, but it would be good to do it in convoy. | |

| Sounds great Tim , our adventures in 2015 will probably have to include a four legged friend so this would be great for us , we had a back up plan of exploring Cornwall if we couldn't make the Italian Kaper... Do you think the dates will be similar to this year as would like to get in first with a holiday request?

Yes bb. I thought this plan would be popular with the dog owning sector of the club. Plus it would be a real adventure! ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay | |

| Great idea, it's on our list too.
We now have the added complication of being invited to two weddings on consecutive Saturdays in August which will complicate our travel plans.
The 1st is on the 1st in Slovakia and the 2nd on the 8th in Newbury.
Family discussion required... ________________________________________________________________________________ www.alpinegrovetouringpark.com Twitter: @AlpineGrove Facebook: facebook.com/alpinegrovetouringpark
