My 60th Birthday bash at The Craven Arms Beer Festival, Appletreewick, North Yorkshire - 16/17/18 October 15

We've had a Brazibay presence for the last two years and, whilst I know it's a long way off, it's going to be special for me this year, as the Festival is 4 days after my 60th Birthday.

I'd really like to celebrate with as many as my Brazibay buddies as possible, so if you fancy going please let me know on this post.

We stay at Masons Campsite which is about 5 minutes from the Craven Arms and we usually manage a walk or two as well over the weekend. You can book online HERE.

Yes, we're up for this. No doubt the beer competition will be fixed in favour of Yorkshire as per usual.

We won't book yet but certainly we are hoping to join! Always good to be back in the Dales. And 60th birthday celebration is a very serious thing... One wouldn't like to miss that!

I'd completely missed this thread and don't have any annual leave remaining so we're going to miss out. Sorry Mr B would have loved to have joined you , will have to toast your impending birthday during September at DITF.

All the best for your 60th. It's a big occasion (I'm 61 now) and one that friends and family will be sure to mark. It's a big milestone so enjoy to the full.

(the campsite is probably fine for folks attending the beer festival but the reviews are not all good with one saying they had their camper van hit with cricket balls more than once and comments about facilities being restricted so I doubt I could talk my wife into us going)

Hi just to say about the reviews at masons campsite..The dates of October are very un likely to have anyone playing games..especially in the main camping area which is where you would probably be pitched..There is a huge field adjacent to this where I'm sure the site tells people to play games.most people attending are usually adults for the festival ..and as I previously mentioned at this time of the year it would be unusual. It would be great to see you there ..It normally involves a couple of lovely walks (short)..A meal.or two..and the festival is a local pub 500m from the site.

We came across a beer festival once at a hotel north of Hadrian's Wall. They were a very jolly lot by the time we got there but no trouble at all.

Ok, my wife says yes, we will get it booked later. Martin better be ready for total strangers turning up with a 60 balloon or some such .
