We've just booked to go to a site 5 minutes walk from Much Wenlock, from Thursday to Sunday.

Do any locals (or previous visitors) have any tips for must see places/pubs/restauarants/walks/etc?

Haven't been there for forty years or so Abs, but from memory, if you like walking and scenery, the area around Little Stretton/Church Stretton/Long Mynd is good. Bridgnorth and start of the Severn Valley Railway isn't far away, if you like restored railways, (and you could take a nostalgic trip for me,  Smile  my great-grand dad was the longest serving station master on the line, at Highley for 38 years).

There are local members on the forum who should be able to give you more interesting places....and pubs. Smile

There are a number of walks on Wenlock Edge and the Wrekin. There are also quite a few interesting industrial museums in the Ironbridge and Coalbrookdale area.

We're back from a long weekend at Much Wenlock. If you've got a dog you might want to give this campsite a miss.

Nice blog! Mrs W has been inspired to start one (although won't be Lola focused)...

The grammar in that last sign is appalling.
It's most odd that someone in a customer service industry can be so rude. Is there anywhere you can write a review? Anyone thinking of staying there with a dog ought to know about all the rules and regs.

There's a 'customer comments' section on their website but they clearly aren't going to publish a bad review and they're not brave enough to have it auto post.

Failing that, how about UkCampsite.co.uk

Made me smile. Great pics and enjoyed reading the text. Like the matching green background too. Always good to know where not to go!
