| Thanks for the info Sunny, and I understand the reluctance.
I have been having a look round, and finally found a UK supplier for the scantool adaptor.
http://www.scantool-direct.co.uk/obdlink-lx-bluetooth-scan-tool--obd-interface-290-p.asp
It seems to cover all the points you mention, but I think I'll have a considered thought before I commit myself as it's going to push the cost up a bit, although it is still good value for all the info you get. (compared to buying a fault code reader, + rev counter, + temp gauge etc etc )

(compared to buying a fault code reader, + rev counter, + temp gauge etc etc ) That's where I got mine from Dizzy. Yes it's a bit more than the others but I know it's from a reputable dealer, is firmware upgradeable and will work, as well as having the full diagnostic software as well. Yes , the others might work, and many people have bought them, but I wanted peace of mind (as well as plug and forget).

| Off to cornwall at the weekend, so spent the afternoon working out the new inflatable awning. Funny how all that material arrives in a neat bag, but seems twice the size when you come to stuff it back in. Hoping for reasonable weather. | |

| 'All the Gear, No Idea' Weekend in Cornwall - lovely campsite, Treloancoastalholidays. Slow puncture, nail in tyre, chair broke free from roof rack and bounced onto A30. Rubbish bungee. Forgot EHU cable, leisure battery dead. Cold, dark and hungry first night. Bed like lumpy concrete, never been so uncomfortable in my life. Kind campsite owner lent us a cable next day, sun shined, glorious walks with dog. In all, a good weekend. Feel prepared for trip to France in April, many lessons learned. | |

| Well done Kaz! We were camping at the weekend too, and got as far as gettng awning out of the bag, attached to van and arches inflated, but we had booked a hardstanding so we didn't have much luck getting the pegs in the ground I was hoping the pitch would be half hardstanding/half grass - but sadly not. However, encouraged by your picture - now I know what it could have looked like. | |

| Iris had her first service at Danbury, all ok apart from the leisure battery which wasn't charging when the engine was running. Aha! Problem solved. | |

| another day in germanys garage: in the last days i cleaned my car very well and so i cleaned the engine room. yesterday i give the car new oil and was happy for the work i have done. tomorrow morning i drove to early shift and i say many new frech outside the car. all was full of oil. i opend the desk and inside all of frech oil. my first thinking was, too much oil. but there is oil okay on the stick. i coulnd see, where it comes frome. so at home i am another day insinde the garage. cleans the car. the engine room too. so a far hours later i thought it only could be frome the hoses. so i take all away and cleans that. starts the engine, and all okay. take a litte trip with the car. all akay, thats for this day. tomorrow i will see, that all oay with no oil in the inside the engine room, hopefully. all the best to you all. have fa little fun with my mistake ;-)) michel ________________________________________________________________________________ http://www.t2-c.de

| Yesterday, I went to AJR Auto Electricals in Witham,
Nice people, we needed 2 replacement ignition keys as the originals are worn. They soon sorted this quite quickly for me. They also cleared an engine management fault and we had a chat about LPG conversions.
All in all a good day's work. Would recommend them!!
