Just sorting vehicle based bits and pieces for the trip and discovered the disposable breathalysers have an expiry date of 2/16.

New ones ordered from EBay.

I just thought to check our gas cylinder. It weighs 5Kg, so I reckon we have about 1.2Kg left. We put a new one in just before Ile de Re last year, so I calculate we have used 1.5Kg since then. We should have plenty I think. To be honest I don't think we even used much gas last year, it was mostly cold food and barbecue.

if it's the camping gas with spin on reg they sell them in France

Yes, that's what it is. They sold them on the campsite last year.

Does anyone know the procedure for changing ferry sailings? We are not planning to do this, but it would be good to know. Would we call Select Sites or Brittany Ferries?

I'm pretty sure you need to ring Select Sites although we swapped at the port coming back last year in Caen.

We just turned up and they put us on next boat no charge

The Fetes de Bayonne run from July 27th to July 31st. Bayonne is a short bus trip away from the campsite.

Had a fab overnight crossing to St Malo. I was first off the ferry this morning and had a really good run to Nantes airport to pick up Gina and Charley. Equally easy drive to Niort for an overnight stop before driving to Biarritz tomorrow.
Our Kamper has begun although missing the group.

Looks like you made the right decision taking the direct ferry, think I spotted a red kombi on the BBC news, stuck behind a motorhome in the jams at Dover.

We're here now Tim and all set up. Had an excellent journey down.
Some of the pitches are quite tight. We just about got ourselves and the Glawning to fit. There are 2 hook up blocks that service the 'island'. One has euro plugs the other traditional. If folks have euro adopters it's worth bringing them. Also long hook up leads or extensions.
We've not explored the whole site yet but first impressions are really good. Great location for the beach, nice bar and restaurant and a good shop.
My 3G is very slow so can you post my findings on the Kamper Facebook chat. If there's anything else I'll text tomorrow.

Great to hear that the Horneteers are there - we can't wait to get on our way - and we have kit on board for the Dubby Olympics on the beach - which is obligatory every year!  I hope we've got room for Robin and tent - sounds like it may be a bit tighter than in years past - but that' just cosy!
