| Stan spent the weekend at Sumners Ponds (near Horsham) testing out the newly fitted tow bar bike rack. Four bikes no worries! | |

| Washed, leathered, Resined, Buffed, Polished and Buffed Stan. I will be sore tomorrow.
Back to the bike rack. A photo would have been a great idea. Will do the next time were out. Its a Pendle tow-bar, flange mounted, straight bar for 4 bikes. It coped really well and flexed only slightly on nasty speed bumps. So the only modification I will make is to put a spacer between the 1st bike and the upright on the rack. This is more for peace of mind but it will increase the clearance between the handle bar and back window (just in-case of a big bump) . I could alternatively loosen the handle bar and twist it around.

| Wild camped last night in the carpark of The Cricketers Inn Kingsley for the price of an àmazing meal. Marcus the owner welcomes campervans to stay and it is a minutes drive from Brand Autos. He also has rooms in a converted barn if you needed an overnight stay in the area. We waited for the delivery of our new stainless steel exhaust but once on the ramps Paul discovered a huge hole in the exhaust outlet so we had to leave her there until we get a replacement from VW Heritage. So it was home on the train for us. Mrs Bumble | |

| Set up camp in campsite no. 7! (awning up, hooked up, roof up etc. etc.) and decided I didn't like the pitch we'd been allocated and wanted to move to one 4 pitches down. So - yep - we moved - whole lot down and back up again in 45 minutes! | |

| Down at Danbury yesterday for Minor Service, MOT and replacement fan-belt (so as to keep the old one for emergency spare). Matt and Andy also added Brake bar adaptor and new fuel cap seal. Passed the MOT but seems to have needed some adjustments to do so. 1) Steering locking device insecure front steering arm box to axle pivot - rear ball joint clamp 2) Anti-roll bar attachment bracket / mounting insecure nearside front lower (to lower suspension arm) Not sure what these mean but thanks to Matt and Andy for sorting things out right away.
Whilst there met up with Feliz. Thanks for the chat you two, and hope your lambda sensor has now been extracted for replacement.

| As we had left Scooby for a week to look after himself we treated him to a Meguiar's wash and polish today - see his coat shine (we also waxed the gutters). ________________________________________________________________________________ Proud winners of Spike's Trophy 2017 Scooby - Born To Run | |

| We took the van to get measured up for a new Rock & Roll bed cover with new foam down in Blyth. They have us booked in for 2 November so we won't have the new bed for the Beer Festival trip.
They are using the left over leather from our front seats to add some panels & trim to match in as much as possible.
(Blyth also has a very good VW garage who do classic vehicles) ________________________________________________________________________________ what is best in life ?
