We are due to have Clara serviced and usually go through Danbury's fountain of knowledge Matt in the service department. Contacting Danbury today we have been informed he left the company at Christmas. Does anyone know where he is and if he is still in the business? Thanks Jenny

Very nice chap - always enjoyed chatting with him at our meets and other events. Hope he's doing well.

Very sad news if Matt is no longer with Danbury. Over the past ten years we have found him to be the key figure, along with Andy, in keeping our BraziBay up to scratch. Really good guy - hope somehow we could still have contact with him in the future. osg

If Matt's gone, then Danbury are in big trouble. I've got one more service paid for with them. It might be my last.

That's a blow, I was about to book in for a major service, luckily I have somewhere else to go for the time being.
The only reason I stuck with Danbury was Matt with his wealth of knowledge.
Sad that he has gone, as he was a really nice guy, and would do anything to help.
I know Matt (Matt Bees) was involved with The Krazy Dub Club, and the Christmas Santa Cruz around Bristol, but at the moment their website seems to be down.
The VW community around Bristol is fairly tight knit, so if he has gone on to pastures new, someone will know. Enquiries continuing.

So Matt is now a property developer (info from a parallel post). Would still like the chance to contact him if anyone finds out how to do that.
Pleased to hear that Andy is still looking after routine maintenance and service schedules for Danbury. osg

Only just spotted this thread and it answers a question I had following Mabel’s service at Danbury today. Have to say I didn’t feel things were up to the usual standard. Mabel passed her MOT with one advisory of a cracked seal on the bio fuel tank. Matt always reviewed advisories and sorted them out. I had the ask about it and ended up buying a seal for myself. Then after paying a not inconsiderable sum for the service and MOT I came out to an unwashed.van. Not the end of the world but it just endorsed my feeling that the premium service has slipped and things ain’t as good as they were. I think I will be trying a local VW Bay specialist for the minor service to see how they perform.
