2017 - Brazibays in Somerset!! - Postponed

After approx 1,300 trouble free miles (500 of them with at least 7 other kombis) a month on the road, camping in France and at various locations across the south of England, I'm sat in a hotel bar near Weymouth having a quiet drink and contemplating plans for our event.

We will arrange for a 'Big Brazibay BBQ' on the Saturday night, would people require 'regular' BBQ food; sausages and burgers, maybe some ribs and chicken pieces and some veggie options along with a selection of salads? Or something a bit different? A hog roast (or similar) maybe?

Let me know what you think, I'll do a headcount check nearer the time for catering numbers and see what I can do.

How does a flat rate of £20 per night per camper (incl EHU) sound? People can stay for as short or as long as they want, before or after the Saturday, and we're happy to organise a convoy or two or trips to local attractions.

Anyone got any other suggestions or ideas that we might consider? Visit to a cider farm? Vodka tasting session? Don't be shy!

Both food options are mouth watering , I guess the BBQ caters for every eventuality but you can't beat a hog roast

Still working through the details of the purchase, we hope to complete within the next two weeks or so. The current camping license has the site closing at the end of Sept, however we have already submitted an application to extend this to the end of Oct.

Sounds good! We'd be happy with some veggie burgers and can bring them along if needed.

We have just received notice from South Somerset Planning that our application to extend the camping season on site to the end of October has now been approved!!

We can now start to officially book people in, Brazibays or otherwise, so to ensure we have enough space for everyone I now need some more info.

Please could you let me know how many are in your party, what you space requirements are (camper, awning, Ariba etc), which day you expect to arrive and how long you would like to stay. For the Brazibays we will charge a flat rate of £20 per kombi incl hookup.

2 people arriving Saturday leaving Monday please (2 nights). Touch and go on whether we will have the bay or the tent

We have an event shelter if we want to use communally too

That's 2 nights, although we might revisit that once we know what plans there might be for a cruise, because we have a long trip there and back.

Currently thinking of bring the Glawning and wood burner.

Put me down as a possible,ive sorted staff cover for the weekend after(28th/29th)and will have ask nicely to get time off.Or i could fire them all,he he.Are there any cider farms close by?

Great. Perry's Cider Mill is the closest, but there are others. I will investigate a group visit.
