2018 - Alpine Grove Opening Weekend

Hello lovely Brazibay people, we have one more event for you to consider.

Alpine Grove will be opening its gates to camping, touring and campervan owners for the first time under our stewardship on Friday 23rd March, exactly one week before Easter (as per our licensing conditions).

It is reasonably early in the season so we don’t expect many ‘regular’ punters, however it will be our opening weekend and we would like to celebrate this by inviting our extended Brazibay family to join us.

There will be no charge for staying on the Friday and Saturday nights, instead we ask you to simply tell all of your family and friends about our campsite and log cabins. We will provide some drinks, food and probably some music, there is also an evening event being held at the Guild Hall in Chard on Saturday night that some of you might like to go to.

We know it is a long way to come for some of you and you may well already have plans for the following weekend - no problem at all, I’m sure we will catch up with you later in the season.

No need to book, but if you can let us know if you are coming so we have an idea of numbers.

Had really hoped that somehow we could squeeze this one in. Unfortunately though I swapped my work weekend to go to Stonehenge and I've been asked to pay it back on the Saturday 24th March which i can't really say no to... Gutted

We started work on cleaning up and preparing the toilet/shower block today.

Any more takers for our special ‘invitation only’ opening weekend?

There’s a local pizza company who have asked if we would like them to provide pizzas to guests staying on site once a week, we could try them out on Sat 24th?

Just thinking about planning for next weekend. Do you have bread, egg and bacon stocked in your shops? Id rather buy from you that give my money to tesco if you do

Eggs have been ordered, we had a conversation with a local butcher today and will have bacon, sausages and burgers available and we will also have bread although not sure where to source it from yet.

We’ve been slightly hampered by the weather, but we’ve almost finished cleaning and updating the toilet/shower block and hope to have it all done by the weekend.

Any more adventurers want to venture out at the weekend?

There are a number of events being run by a friend of ours in Chard on Saturday, all relating to Chard Earth Hour.

Guild hall from 11-1.30pm - childrens fun and educational meet up.
Phoenix Hotel from 1pm-5pm - Eco and Sustainability talks
Guild Hall 5-11pm - trade stands with a 'green' theme plus live music with local bands
