We first took ownership of Eddie in April 2012 after collecting him from his first home in Cardiff. It was such a proud moment when he sat on the driveway and I remember spending hours cleaning and polishing him ready for a summer of adventures.
Over the following few years he was treated to a fabulous interior refit, new exhaust, tow bar, power steering, alloys and a host of accessories. He was in top form when he won Star Kombi at the 2014 Kombi Sleepover.
The adventures continued and as we became more involved with this amazing forum we enjoyed some truly memorable times. Sleepovers, Halloween meets, Dubs in the Forests, VolksWorlds, Camperjams, Dubs in the Parks, London to Brighton support vehicle, Goodwood, Summer Solstices, Cotsworld meets plus numerous family camping trips to the North, East, South and West of England. We also took part in 3 Kombi Kampers to France and we look back on those as being really special times spent with our fellow Brazibay families.
The last few years has seen Eddie spending much of his time tucked away in the garage and content with the odd day trip. Special thanks to Paul at Brand Auto’s for keeping him regularly maintained and serviced. With his expertise Eddie has never let us down. After many heartfelt discussions we know it’s the right time to say farewell to Eddie and for a new family to enjoy some amazing new adventures with him. He has brought so much joy to our lives, and thanks to this wonderful forum has given us the opportunity to meet some incredible people, some of which are now great friends. He’s now parked up on the forecourt of VW Kampers ready for Tim to find him a lucky new family. Eddie, it’s been an amazing 9 years and the memories you’ve given us will never be forgotten………farewell ‘nice guy’.

We all know what a special Kombi Eddie is and what fabulous memories he brought to you all. He will undoubtedly be snapped up by a new family and will bring them as many memories as you have. Enjoyed your company at so many events and lovely to see the fantastic young man Charley has grown into. Don’t be a stranger xx

Folks may sell their BraziBays but they never leave ‘the club.’
