| Here is Olive with the new seat covers, door panels and full carpet set from Newton Commercial. Also I have had the dash painted by VW Downunder. The tricky part was the fitting of the carpet set around the base of the seats, but if you take your time it is worth the end result. | |

| Dont be, just get them ordered. The seat is a lot better as Newton's have put in an extra 10mm of foam in the seat and added in the horizontal stitching. You can try it out at the Volksworld show | |

| Thanks for the kind comments, it really does lift the cab area and brings a huge grin when driving. The image doesnt do the carpet colour much justice due to the flash. It is a shade of green that blends well with the Olive coloured seat covers. The quality of the upholstery and panels is superb and thanks to Duncan and his team @ Newton Commercial they have done a great job. Same goes to Paul and his team @ VW Downunder. The dash looks superb and has a smooth finish to it. Now for leds under the dash to light up the footwell area. | |

| Very smart TIm I'm starting mine but beginning with the simpler panels - tailgate and sliding door - which are plain with no inserts. Hoping your video is released before I reach the harder work. osg | |

| That won't be for a few days. It was bitterly cold today instead of the 15 degrees forecast and it made for slow going. We're about 2/3rds the way through the shoot now - finish off tomorrow. Edit after that. This is a pro job! ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay | |

| This is the editorial from the latest Newton Commercial newsletter.
2011 heralds the launch of a new range of trim due to popular request by the rapidly increasing ownership base of the Type 2 Brazilian import vans. After initial contact from Tim Votier at the brazilianvwbay forum it soon became clear that there was a demand for replacement interior trim for these fine vehicles, so naturally we set to work..Pronto!
Six weeks later we have developed and produced replacement seat covers, panel kits, both welded design and two-tone design and full cab carpet sets, all available in our standard range of colours and all enjoying the Newton brand of quality and service.
Initial feedback has been excellent and indeed one of our first ever retail clients, Mr David Blair, arrived at our factory on Friday March 11th to collect his order for seat covers, door panels and carpets. David left his van with us and headed off for a beach walk along the Suffolk coast. On his return he found his new seat covers fitted by our seat fitting wizards in house and a new pair of front door panels all fitted in to "Olive" his T2 pride and joy. The carpets were fitted by him over the weekend and fit the whole cab area including seat boxes. Picture CD and instructions included.
The seat covers were manufactured and fitted to David’s seats here at the factory.
We strongly recommend that clients use our in house fitting service as removing the original covers and fitting replacements to a modern reclining seat is no picnic! Although we do provide instructions and a pictorial CD for those who want to have a go! If we are fitting them, any problems that may arise are ours, not yours to deal with! We can arrange collection and delivery of your seats, so you don’t even have to come to Suffolk in person! (although you should, as its beautiful) Please phone for more details.

| I was in discussion with Duncan @ Newton about setting up another club visit to their factory in Suffolk. It's an excellent opportunity to see how they go about making their superb seat covers and panels for our BraziBays - and pick yours up if you are planning on ordering If you're interested in going, please reply below. ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay | |
