The rear bumper at both corners was filled with dirt so might be an idea although putting mudguards might trap some of it against the bodywork pros and cons I suppose Smile

Well started the undersealing tonight a few before pics.

Just Started with jacking point
It's stripping time! - Page 2 27032012167

At the back there is very little primer or underseal so I'm thinking giving it a paint first then underseal. The black bits are treated with Kurust.
It's stripping time! - Page 2 27032012171

Now for the after pics, unfortunatley I ran out of Stone Chip Shield so more is on order.

It's stripping time! - Page 2 DSCN1323

I think I'm going to cut the cable ties holding the wiring loom so I can protect behind it.
It's stripping time! - Page 2 DSCN1320

Ran out when I came to the other side also this is just the part between the wheels still got wheelarches and front and back sections still to do.

Nice pictures of the underneath. Reminds of the feeling you get when you first drive it - "Noooooo, I don't want to get it wet and dirty under there........"

Well the undersealing continues, today's task was finishing the rear around the engine and rear panel.

There was some corrosion starting to surface.

It's stripping time! - Page 2 DSCN1371

The inner chassis legs I had already treated with kurust.
It's stripping time! - Page 2 DSCN1374

It's stripping time! - Page 2 DSCN1373

Then a spot of primer as there isn't a lot of paint on these bits.

It's stripping time! - Page 2 DSCN1380

It's stripping time! - Page 2 DSCN1378

Then finally my covering of choice Stone Chip Shield Wink
It's stripping time! - Page 2 DSCN1382

It's stripping time! - Page 2 DSCN1381

Thats me as you can see it was dark when I finished, up early tommorow as weather is meant to turn on Monday so need to get all my lights and indicators in to make it water tight, but still need to underseal the wheelarches, the front might need to wait till another dry day.

Todays update, managed to get the wheel arches done.

The before pics
It's stripping time! - Page 2 DSCN1389

It's stripping time! - Page 2 DSCN1392

This is me during, I will need to cut the underseal out my hair Laughing
It's stripping time! - Page 2 DSCN1398

The wheel arches after. I wonder if I can claim green clubcard points for reusing the bags?
It's stripping time! - Page 2 DSCN1401

It's stripping time! - Page 2 DSCN1400

I wasn't really a fan of the white air vents in the rear, it always looked dirty to me against the white so I took the plastic thingy out as you can see in this pic and masked up.
It's stripping time! - Page 2 DSCN1386

All masked up!
It's stripping time! - Page 2 DSCN1395

You guessed it went black Cool

Front arches before

and after

Just need to get my dropped spindles and adjustable rear spring plates and that should be the underneath just about sorted Rolling Eyes
