has anyone bought the AEXV25 bulbs as detailed in the original post- I tried looking on the web site and the code is not recognised. Does anyone know if it has been replaced?

They change the discount code on a regular basis Feliz. Just resurrected a recently deleted email from powerbulbs, and they have these bulbs on a 'sale' offer at £19.95 which is cheaper than the original price with a discount.

Well worth the upgrade. I couldn't help but notice how dim some of my fellow BraziBay owner's headlights were on the konvoy this past weekend.

I must be missing something ..... I used the part code as detailed in my post which I got from the original post on this thread. the part number was recognised . I sent an enquiry to their sales support and they replied saying they were unable identify the bulb. So now I really don't know what I part I need to order. does anyone know what the style of fitting is on the bulb si perhaps I can use that as a starting point.

I think the code references is just a discount code that made it cheaper than it was, but now the offer (£19.95) is cheaper than it was with the discount code - if that makes any sense!

They're just called Phillips X-treme vision +130% H4 (twin pack).

1. Go to powerbulbs.com
2. Select UK and Ireland
3. Select Volkswagen
4. Select model - Golf Mk1 (1974 - 1991)
5. Select H4 bulb

The bulb in our Kombis is the same as fitted to Mk1 Golfs.

I also accepted the free gift of the W5W side light bulbs, as we still have orange lenses on the side repeater lights.

Powerbulbs.com sale ends Monday 2nd March; just received an e mail.

I've also bought new bulbs for my Passat as well - main and full beam - I did three separate orders - H4 Bumble, H7 Passat main, H7 Passat full - to get three lots of free W5W bulbs

Ordered some last time, haven't fitted them yet.

Definitely worth fitting these. They make a huge difference. I fitted one side and switched them one to compare the difference.

Ok so I bought and fitted the upgrade. Road test proves a much better performance. Highly recommended them.

Tip: When screwing the headlights back into the Kombi, connect the bulbs to the wiring.

We fitted our new bulbs before heading out to France with the gang. The first time we used them on high beam with no other ambient light was on the way home and boy were they bright! Thought we'd accidentally packed the sun before leaving France!!!

I was wondering how long the X-tremeVision bulbs last. I changed over to them nearly 3 years ago and they're still going strong. Has anyone had to replace them yet?

Well done you win a cookie. Though it will go off in the post, so I shall eat it and tell you how good it was.

The old bulbs work fine, so I'll be keeping them for spares.
